Senator Grassley On Government Accountability Office Cyber Security Recommendations  | KCII Radio – The One to Count On

KCII News spoke with US Senator Chuck Grassley about the Government Accountability Office, and how some government agencies are not following the recommendations on cyber security, “First of all, let me explain what the Government Accountability Office is, they’ve been around since the 1920’s, and they’ve grown in power and prestige. They work for the Congress, they don’t work for the President, and they are meant to study anything that the Congress wants information on. So they looked at all of the cybersecurity of all of the Government agencies, and came up with these seven that aren’t following their recommendations. Basically our question is asking when are going to follow the recommendations as other agencies have done.”  In addition to urging administrators to close the recommendations, Grassley is demanding records on their departments’ cybersecurity testing practices and their protocols for reporting and responding to cyberattacks.
