BaylorProud » Baylor entrepreneurship ranks among nation’s top 10 for 15th straight year (!!)
Baylor fans have come to count on seeing BU among the top 25 each year, with Bears competing with the nation’s most prestigious programs for national recognition.
That applies to athletics (like our currently No. 13-ranked men’s basketball and No. 18-ranked women’s basketball programs), and to academics — like the Baylor entrepreneurship program, which once again ranks among the best in the nation according to multiple sources:
— In the most recent U.S. News rankings, Baylor’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program came in at No. 8 nationally — the program’s 15th straight year in the top 10. This rarified air has become the expectation, but it takes hard work to stay at the top.
— Another honor comes courtesy of our longstanding Bluebonnet Battle rivals TCU, who each year measures leadership and impact in the field through the TCU Global Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings. This year, Baylor’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation moved up to No. 3 in the world for research output, which the authors of the rankings say is “an important indicator of whether an entrepreneurship program follows an evidence-based approach and demonstrates thought leadership in the discipline.”
Recent history certainly testifies that it’s no surprise to see Baylor Entrepreneurship among these elite rankings, but BU’s leadership in this area goes all the way to the beginning: In 1978, Baylor was among the first universities to create a formal entrepreneurship program, and almost 50 years later, Baylor continues to break new ground for entrepreneurship students and future business leaders.
Sic ’em, Baylor Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation!
