Lovie’s Ice Cream donating 20% of sales to Columbiana Middle School Robotics team in Columbiana, Ohio

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Getting a sweet treat in Columbiana will not only satisfy your sweet tooth but also help students on a local robotics team.

Lovie’s Ice Cream on Main Street in Columbiana is donating 20% of purchases on Friday to the Columbiana Middle School’s robotics team. The team will compete in the World Championships in Dallas Texas later this month. Robotics team coach Ashlee Sherwood says the donations will be a big help.

“Come out Friday night and your donations will be going to our world championship event in Dallas, Texas. Supporting lodging and travel expenses to get us there,” said Sherwood.

450 teams will compete from all over the world, a team from every US state, plus China, Taiwan, and Australia just a few.
