Culpeper entrepreneurs open second storefront | InsideNoVa Culpeper – Culpeper Times
Three entrepreneurial women are making their mark in the local business community with the opening of their second business venture, “2•0•1 Reclaimed Vintage Relics,” in downtown Culpeper.
The founders, Jillian Dedham, Devon Romano and Kim Bonner, celebrated the grand opening of their new storefront at 201 N. Main St. in the Spring, marking a significant milestone for their growing business portfolio. The shop’s name is a nod to its address.
2•0•1 offers reclaimed, recycled, upcycled, well curated and vintage home decor and furniture, which is often flipped with their line of chalk paint, Bungalow 47.
“It’s so hard to find a really good, really well built piece of furniture that most would consider antique,” Romano said. “This is a way to make it unique! We also offer custom orders.”
The store, Romano continued, was a “collaborative vision” but ultimately gave credit to Bonner.
“She is a determined collector and loves to give old fines new meaning,” Romano said. “Together, we searched through the community and discovered Spruce vintage and fell in love with her passion and her vision to give old clothing, a new flare. She has an incredible eye and helped to bring our vision to life.”
The trio also owns the adjacent storefront, a business called, “Lily Rose & Company,” which opened in November 2022.
“It has been our mission to provide a platform for these local artists to share their beautiful creations and custom designs with the rest of our community,” Romano said. “We have shared a vision beyond just supporting local makers and artists. (We want to) support locals that have a passion for seeking home decor, reclaimed or vintage finds that are all well curated to create a beautiful modern vibe, mixing old with new and giving past fashion and design a new life.”
Both stores provide a platform for a combined 54 local artists, makers and collectors.
“We have really enjoyed being a part of the downtown fingerprint and had so much love and support through the Culpeper Renaissance, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and especially all of the other local business owners,” Romano said. “I believe that we all share a common goal and that is to bring, vibrant and excitement and offering retail to the downtown area. We wanted to make sure that the new space complemented everything else that downtown has to offer.”
Dedham is a long time maker and a mother to six children. Bonner is a mom of two daughters and five grandchildren. Romano is also a long time maker and mother to 10-year-old twins.
Dedham met Romano while renting space at the Country Shoppes of Culpeper during the COVID-19 pandemic. Romano joined Dedham and Bonner, who had already teamed up for the Apple Festival at Graves Mountain.
