Telecommunication, internet services have been restored in Gaza

Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent in Gaza reported on Sunday that the communications network has returned to the central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip after being destroyed on October 26.

Our correspondent indicated that communications are still cut off in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.

This comes after telecommunications companies operating in Egypt confirmed their readiness on Saturday readiness to provide communication services to the residents of Gaza, who have been completely isolated after the Israeli occupation cut off all means of communication. 

Four major telecommunications companies operate in Egypt: Vodafone, Telecom Egypt, Etisalat Misr, &e, and Orange.

An official at Vodafone Egypt said that the company is ready to send mobile cell towers to the Egyptian city of Rafah, in order to cover up to 10 kilometers within the Gaza Strip if operated at maximum power.

Moreover, earlier on Saturday, sources to Al Mayadeen reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the Askar camp in Nablus with a large number of military vehicles and bulldozers. 

Resistance fighters confronted the occupation forces as they stormed the camp and managed to detonate IEDs on occupation vehicles during the storming.

Gaza in complete blackout

This comes after massive regions in the Strip suffered from a complete internet outage after its largest communications service provider announced that it had shut down all operations across Gaza after Israeli war jets destroyed the company’s remaining infrastructure.

“All routes connecting Gaza to the outside world were destroyed” by Israeli strikes, Al Jawwal said in a statement.

Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent reported that on October 27, Gaza witnessed the most violent strikes since October 7, confirming that attacks were being carried out through air, land, and sea.
