Free Car Show To Return To Hoboken Waterfront With Rare Lamborghini
HOBOKEN, NJ — Antique cars and newer models will come to the Hoboken waterfront next month.
Featuring a curated collection of vehicles from pre-1959 to the 1990s, the 2024 Hudson River Showcase Car Show will be inspired by Hoboken-born Frank Sinatra’s legendary car collection, including a rare Lamborghini Miura.
The Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA), a special improvement district, has announced the return of the showcase on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sinatra Drive.
More than 100 classic and exotic luxury automobiles will grace Hoboken’s lower Sinatra Drive in the second annual automobile showcase.
The event is free to attend.
It “offers attendees the opportunity to see vintage automotive elegance up close, set against the backdrop of the New York City skyline,” organizers said.
Saxophonist Lonnie Youngblood will perform Frank Sinatra classics and other jazz pieces throughout the event.
“The Hudson River Showcase Car Show is a much-loved event in the regional community, and we are thrilled for it to return for a second year,” said Roxanne Earley, executive director, Hoboken Business Alliance. “This celebration can be felt throughout the city, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to look at and learn about new and vintage cars from the experts themselves while enjoying Hoboken’s beautiful waterfront and visiting our vibrant downtown and small businesses.”
Presented by the Hoboken Business Alliance and produced by Cars and Caffe and Main Street Pops, the experience is for car enthusiasts of all ages.
As part of the showcase, auto show participants and their vehicles will be judged on detail, quality, condition, safety and originality in multiple categories. Kevin R Free from Mile Square Theatre will act as emcee.
Judges include:
- Paul Prezinsano, 1st Ward Councilman
- Shakera Rosa, Mile Square Mommies
