Christians and Artificial Intelligence: Living in the Age of Deception

The ability of artificial intelligence (AI) to change the way we spread and consume information has made it the megatrend of the decade. That’s why I wanted to have Craig Huey as a guest on The Stand Radio. As a successful advertising executive, technology enthusiast, and author of the book, The Great Deception – 10 Shocking Dangers and the Blueprint for Rescuing the American Dream, he sets forth the amazing benefits and dangers of AI in an understandable way.

We talked about how artificial intelligence can revolutionize industries, enhance our efficiency, and lead to groundbreaking medical advancements. But, as with any powerful tool, we discussed the darker side – one that could threaten personal freedoms and disrupt the very foundation of our republic.  For example, imagine videos so convincingly altered that they could undermine the reputation of a political candidate just days before voters head to the polls. Or in the case of Christian persecution, a hostile nation might use deepfakes to harass believers for an alleged crime against the state. 

Faced with such overwhelming potential for both good and evil, Huey calls for a healthy skepticism and an emphasis on truth-telling. He encourages Christians and churches to harness AI for spreading the gospel while remaining vigilant against those who would use it to deceive and control. Check out the interview below.
