SALT LAKE CITY β As the U.S. general election nears, more questions are being asked about how artificial intelligence is used in political campaigns.
Β For example, Reuters reported that the FCC is split over whether political advertisers on broadcast radio and television must disclose if content within the ad was created by AI.
In May, the Associated Press reported about an FBI concern that foreign adversaries may try to interfere with the U.S. election by spreading disinformation.
The Verge reports that a political consultant responsible for AI robocalls could face a $6 million fine. Steve Kramer allegedly created a βdeepfake generativeΒ AI voice message,β urging voters not to vote in New Hampshireβs 2024 primary.
And ABC has reported that AI could make or break a political campaign.Β
