Artificial Intelligence is topic for the May 5 Sunday Science | Local News
“Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe” is the title of the Central Colorado Humanists’ Sunday Science program at 10 am. May 5 at the Salida Rotary Scout Hut, 210 E. Sackett Ave.
Dr. Dan Bishop will discuss the developing field of artificial intelligence and its potential for good or harm, a press release stated.
Bishop is a retired associate professor of chemistry from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he pursued computer-assisted instruction in his classes and labs and marketed his programs nationwide.
Central Colorado Humanists sponsor Sunday Science on the first Sunday of each month. Each presentation features a science topic that is understandable by both scientists and nonscientists.
The doors open at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free, and the public is welcome.
