Ascension Texas speaks on cybersecurity event | KWKT

CENTRAL TEXAS (FOX 44) – It’s now been several days since Ascension, a healthcare company in Central Texas, said it detected unusual activity on network systems, which they believed to be a “cybersecurity event.”

Ascension is now saying they continue to investigate the situation. The company says its teams are trained for these kinds of disruptions.

They add that they are investigating what information, if any, may have been affected by the situation.

Ascension said all of its hospitals and facilities are open despite the challenges posed by the recent ransomware incident.
