ASU to offer country’s 1st master’s degree program in artificial intelligence in business
Starting in the fall, ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business will offer the country’s first master’s degree program in artificial intelligence in business.
The nine-month graduate program is designed to take students from any technical level and background. The widespread inclusion is very much on purpose.
As AI technologies start to permeate into general use, Sharon Chen with ASU says the future workforce across many industries will need to understand how AI can be or is incorporated into workflow, and also where the pitfalls may be.
“We have seen a lot of news articles about how AI could be misused and then how it could amplify biases. So I think it’s very important that we take actions and we prepare our workforce,” Chen said.
Accepted students will learn several concepts including how to “analyze diverse business situations and apply AI to further business goals,” according to a release
