‘Atmanirbhar Bharat – National Entrepreneurship Summit and Awards 2024’ honours innovators | India News


NEW DELHI: The Delhi Management Association (DMA), in collaboration with the DTU-DCE Fraternity Forum, presented the “Atmanirbhar Bharat – National Entrepreneurship Summit and Awards 2024” recently, where over 200 individuals from diverse backgrounds, including corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, students, venture capitalists, scholars, and investors participated. It served as a platform to honour and celebrate exceptional contributions to entrepreneurship in India.

Dr Navneet Kumar Sharma, vice president of DMA, and founder president of DTU-DCE Fraternity Forum, chaired the event.

Former director of CSIR, Chandigarh, Professor Ravindra Kumar Sinha, vice chancellor of Gautam Buddha University was the chief guest on the occasion who in his keynote address shared his insights on the role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and fostering innovation. “Entrepreneurship mirrors a rollercoaster ride – filled with peaks, troughs, and unforeseen twists, yet ultimately culminating in an exhilarating journey,” he said.

The awards were presented across 12 categories, acknowledging excellence in entrepreneurship. These included women entrepreneur of the year, social entrepreneur of the year, deep tech entrepreneur of the year, bootstrapped entrepreneur of the year, space-tech entrepreneur of the year, generative AI entrepreneur of the year, food-tech entrepreneur of the year, young entrepreneur of the year, biotech entrepreneur of the year, prop-tech entrepreneur of the year, gaming entrepreneur of the year, and the coveted entrepreneur of the year-2024.

Juliane Frommter, founder and CEO of MyFirstIndianClient, Suresh Narasimha, CoCreate Ventures, Deeptech Idea Stage VC, Devika Majumdar, founder of Global Influencer Hub, Suman Bose, entrepreneur board member, and Pulkit Baldev, co-founder of Metalbook and Forbes 30 and under 30 India and Asia also spoke on the occasion.
