Automobile accident takes life of 17-year-old female Amboy student

OREGON – Deputies of the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover crash at approximately 8:41 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 in the 7000 block of West Henry Road in Oregon.
According to the Ogle County report, which remains under investigation, a westbound vehicle lost control on the gravel roadway and entered the south ditch, where it overturned.
The 17-year-old female driver of rural Dixon was pronounced deceased at the scene. A juvenile passenger was transported to KSB Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Ogle County deputies were assisted at the scene by Polo Fire/EMS and Mt. Morris Fire.
