AWS and SAP Expand Partnership With Generative AI ERP Integration
The expansion will allow companies using SAP software like Zappos to tap into generative AI toolsets.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SAP have expanded their existing partnership to launch wider generative AI capabilities that can integrate into functions across entire business portfolios.
The expansion will allow companies using SAP software like Zappos to tap into generative AI toolsets within the cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform.
The integration includes:
- Gen AI models from Amazon Bedrock through the AI hub in SAP AI Core
- Large language models in SAP business applications
- Ability to build and scale applications using their own data
- Foundation models from AI companies like AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Mistral AI, Stability AI, and Amazon.
AI can be used in embedded use cases within SAP’s Rise platform and its intelligent scenario lifecycle management functionality or side-by-side directly on the SAP business technology platform. Further planned expansions will allow use cases in more functions like finance and product lifecycle management, the companies said.
The collaboration includes next-gen chip development to increase compute for SAP cloud-based analytics workloads, increasing efficiencies and reducing carbon footprints. Chips built for AI and machine learning workloads will be used for training and launching future SAP-supported AI technologies.
