Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week is an event set for May 7-9, hosted by Nexus Louisiana, focusing on perseverance, resilience, and aspiration for entrepreneurs and innovators. Located at Mid City Tower, it includes workshops, networking events, and panel discussions. Successful entrepreneurs will share insights into their inventive and resilient journey. Participants will have networking opportunities with some of the best in the business.

Na’Tisha Natt, the director for Community Engagement and Marketing at Nexus Louisiana, revealed the versatility of the event, allowing attendees to engage in remote work, fostering community experience, commerce, and knowledge enrichment. A unique feature is an interactive platform enabling meaningful conversations, sharing insights, and expertise across various fields. Attendees can uncover opportunities, establish partnerships, and potentially drive business growth and success. Nexus Louisiana’s commitment is to facilitate innovative platforms and support tech-driven communities.

This year’s event begins with a coffee shop gathering, followed by instructional sessions with business experts. Advisors include Anna Dearman Kornick, Jordan Basham, Maameefua Koomson, Patti Dobrowolski, and DisruptREADY’s CEO.

Fostering entrepreneurial spirit in Baton Rouge

Narcisse Burchell, Manager of Programs & Events, emphasized how attendees could bring about positive changes to their city and businesses. He encourages attendees to continually learn to enhance their professional settings’ problem-solving and decision-making processes.

The event finale is the High Stakes Pitch session on May 9, where three selected Louisiana companies compete for a $100,000 investment award and a shot at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in Silicon Valley. The grand prize winner could potentially take home an additional $1 million prize.

Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week aims to be a hub for professional connection and business wisdom dissemination, targeting experienced business owners to emerging entrepreneurs.
