BlueLinx Appoints CCO, Product Management Leader

To strengthen commercial alignment and advance its sales growth strategy, Marietta, GA-based building products distributor BlueLinx has made senior leadership changes, including the appointment of a new Chief Commercial Officer.

Mike Wilson, previously BlueLinx’s Chief Product Management Officer, was appointed CCO to oversee the commercial leadership team comprised of five Regional Vice Presidents and the Vice President of National Accounts.

Wilson brings over 30 years of building products experience to the role. This transition “underscores the importance of our product mix and vendor relationships to our core sales growth strategy,” company officials said in an April 2 news release.

Succeeding Wilson is Leo Oei, who has been named Vice President of Product Management. Oei previously served as the General Manager of both the Denville, NJ, and Long Island, NY branches for BlueLinx, and brings over 20 years of procurement and supply chain expertise to his new role.

David Sherwood, General Manager of the Erwin, TN branch, has been promoted to the position of Regional Vice President of the North Region. Sherwood has more than 30 years of building products experience, including time as the General Manager of the Minneapolis branch, Regional Director of Operations in the North Region, and integration leader for the Vandermeer acquisition.
