Bundesbank partners with MIT on digital euro privacy


The Deutsche Bundesbank is the latest central bank to partner with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on a central bank digital currency (CBDC) project.

Bundesbank president Joachim Nagel announced on April 16 that the main focus will be on “pivotal design questions such as the implementation of data protection and privacy in a CBDC system”.
