Camwood, Pentaho partner to advance data analytics services
Camwood, an IT consultancy with a forte in promoting digital evolution via applications, has announced a high-profile partnership with Pentaho, a subsidiary of Hitachi. The collaboration aims to deliver Camwood’s data analytics platform to the market through a new managed services offering.
The London-based firm, possessing nearly a quarter-century of experience in assisting customers to optimise applications, has signed a master service agreement with Pentaho. It will facilitate data assessments, optimise storage migration and provide ongoing management, ensuring customers extract the utmost value from their data assets.
This strategic alignment comes with various business advantages for the end-users. Organisations will be able to bring structuration to their data through a comprehensive data catalogue. This move will ensure they have extensive knowledge about what kind of data they have, who can access it, where each piece of data is located, and the reason for its existence. Thus, more focus can be laid on core operations, sparing less time on data.
Camwood will help users to capitalise on these data insights, eliminating the dependency on expensive technical know-how and laborious manual processes. The firm will identify data challenges and apply the required technology to rectify these problems. For instance, organisations will be able to quickly access and retrieve the relevant data when presented with FOI and data requests. This will result in a reliable, accurate and singular source of truth for compliance and auditability.
While organisations are striving to incorporate budding technologies like AI integrations, Camwood’s managed service will enable them to organise their data suitably. Thus, they can effectively leverage the new tools, in line with mission-critical applications and activities. AI-ready data is labelled, normalised, and organised for easy parsing and yielding meaningful insights.
The cornerstone of Camwood’s new service is Pentaho’s platform, which is agnostic of any data source and exhibits the unique feature in the market. It is designed to function in different setups: on-premise, data centre, hybrid or a pure cloud environment.
Andrew Carr, Managing Director at Camwood, expressed his enthusiasm towards this venture. He said, “Our core services since our inception have revolved around the assessment, modernisation and management of applications for our customers, and we’re looking forward to applying that same mindset to our new data services offering. With our services wrapped around the best-in-class Pentaho platform, our customers can unlock insights from their data like never before.”
Yannick Schlaeppi, Global Director of Partnerships at Pentaho, also expressed similar sentiments. He stated, “Data analytics platforms have been an industry hot topic for a number of years, but few organisations have made effective use of them. It’s clear that Camwood’s technical staff are well versed in the platform’s capabilities, making the organisation the ideal business partner to build a bespoke service around the Pentaho platform and enable customers to gain full value from their investment. We look forward to working with Camwood to build Pentaho’s presence in the market.”
