Cape Riverfront Market hosting a chance to receive grant money for Youth Entrepreneurship Day – KBSI Fox 23 Cape Girardeau News

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Youth Entrepreneurship Day will be Saturday, July 20 in Cape Girardeau.

It will be at the Cape Riverfront Market from 8 a.m. to noon.

The deadline for applying for the Youth Entrepreneurship Day grants is Friday, June 28.

The main focus behind Youth Entrepreneurship Day is to encourage entrepreneurship in local youth to start up businesses.

Grant money will be provided by SendAFriend as well as a market platform to provide products and media exposure by Old Town Cape.

SendAFriend and Old Town Cape will choose three grant winners from Illinois or Missouri between the ages 12 and 18 to receive a $500 grant.

The winners of the grant will also be featured on Cape Riverfront Market and Old Town Cape social media sites along with a booth space at the Cape Riverfront Market on July 20.

The purpose of this grant money is to cover business related costs.

SendAFriend will look forward to reviewing the 2024 Youth Entrepreneurship Day grant applications. Winners will be announced the day of the festival on July 20.

The Cape Riverfront Market takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday between May and October at 35 S. Spanish Street in downtown Cape.
