Celebrating a decade of entrepreneurship and innovation – Techarenan Challenge marks its 10th anniversary

This year, the annual entrepreneurship competition Techarenan Challenge celebrates its 10th anniversary, a milestone that underscores a decade of demonstrating Nordic entrepreneurship and innovation.

Over the years, thousands of Nordic companies have applied, and hundreds of prominent startups and scaleups have been part of the competition, showcasing their innovative solutions and services to a broad audience.

“When we started the Techarenan Challenge, our vision was to create a platform that not only showcased the incredible talent within the Nordic innovation ecosystem but also addressed the pressing global challenges of our time,” says Omid Ekhlasi, CEO and Co-Founder of Techarenan. “Looking back over the past decade, I’m proud to say that our community has been a driving force for positive change, inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs.”

Applications Now Open for 2024

As Techarenan celebrates this milestone, applications are now open for the 2024 edition of the Techarenan Challenge.

The application phase is open until May 8. After a first selection round, an expert jury evaluates the entries based on several criteria. In the end, 24 final companies will be selected to participate in the competition, held during the political week in Almedalen, Visby, on June 26-28.

The companies pitch live before a jury of profiled investors and entrepreneurs. The finalists compete for awards in six categories, including the main awards, Startup Company of the Year and Growth Company of the Year.

Travel and accommodation are included, and the finalists get to showcase their companies at the Tech Exhibition at Techarenan in Almedalen.
