ChargeTronix Unveils 480 kW Nexus Charging System

This innovative system can charge up to six electric vehicles (EVs) simultaneously, significantly enhancing the charging efficiency for commercial fleets. Advanced Charging Capabilities

As the electric truck market is expected to grow by over 54% annually until 2030, the need for scalable and efficient charging infrastructure is paramount. The Nexus Distributed Charger addresses this need with its 480 kW power capacity and dynamic power sharing capabilities, making it the first system to charge up to six commercial vehicles simultaneously from a single power cabinet. It can charge a 300 kWh Class 6 to 8 EV in 30 to 45 minutes, catering to both fast and medium-dwell charging needs.

Stephen Israel, Vice President of Operations at ChargeTronix, emphasized the importance of dynamic power sharing, stating, “Having charging infrastructure that provides dynamic power sharing in 40 kW power increments enables the operator to optimize charging to align with their duty cycle.”

Comprehensive Product Lineup

ChargeTronix will showcase the Nexus Distributed Charging System alongside other fleet charging products at the 2024 ACT Expo. Visitors can find them at Booth #4326 for demonstrations and expert advice on installation, implementation, and maintenance. The product lineup includes:

• 180 kW Apex DC Fast Charger: Covers a voltage range from 150 to 1,000 VDC, supporting various EV needs.
• Phoenix Bidirectional Charger (V2G): Supports two-way electricity flow between EVs and the power grid, with power ranges from 20 to 60 kW.
• Flux AC Chargers: Available in 48 Amp and 80 Amp models for both commercial and residential uses, delivering up to 11.52 kW.
