Come Back Alive Foundation and Kyivstar telecommunications company will strengthen air defense with mobile command posts

Thanks to Kyivstar’s contribution, the Come Back Alive Foundation will provide the Ukrainian Air Force with mobile command posts for air defense.

The Come Back Alive Foundation’s press service reported on this.

The Air Command South will receive ten mobile command posts within the joint project “We Live Here: Mobile Communication Systems for Air Defense.”

For this purpose, Kyivstar allocates UAH 50 million from its own funds. The telecommunications company will raise another UAH 15 million for the initiative together with its subscribers.

Mobile command posts are specially equipped four-wheel drive trucks developed by the Come Back Alive Foundation and soldiers of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The task of the mobile command post is to coordinate the work and organize communication between air defense units. As a command post carrier, it receives information about threats from the air and quickly transmits it to the combat unit.

The Foundation shared that each truck has three full workplaces and the equipment necessary to support air defense missile systems, including the American MIM-104 Patriot. This includes secure communication systems, computers with special software, monitors, cables, routers, and switches.

Kyivstar customers can support the initiative by activating the Super Force “Help for the Armed Forces of Ukraine”: up to UAH 50 from the tariff plan payment will be used to purchase mobile communication systems for air defense starting from April 1, 2024.

The customers can also sign up for an SMS subscription by sending a message to the number 515 to donate UAH 10 after each charging of the account in the amount of UAH 50 or more.

In addition, starting April 1, by sending an SMS with any text to 88009, people will transfer UAH 10 from their mobile account to the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The telecommunications company will use the additional UAH 50 million raised by Kyivstar to supply the troops with comprehensive mobile command posts and necessary equipment.

Previously, within a joint project with Nova Poshta called “Pack the Sky – Boost Air Defense,” the Come Back Alive Foundation supplied all units of the Air Command “Center” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with mobile command posts.
