Cybersecurity Scholarship Applications Open in MTU
The chosen candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in a 10-month curriculum and earn a tax-free €38,000 scholarship.
Upon completion, individuals will get a postgraduate cybersecurity innovation certification from MTU.
The goal of the course is to provide participants the know-how to assess, choose, and validate concepts for fresh cybersecurity goods and services that will support the emergence of new businesses and breakthroughs.
The curriculum is anticipated to graduate up to 15 individuals annually, and applicants are not needed to have any prior experience with cybersecurity or IT.
The €7 million allocated by Enterprise Ireland to MTU’s Cyber Innovate initiative is a portion of a larger €30 million financing package for cluster development.
“Our graduates will be catalysts, educators, and leaders – architecting innovative cybersecurity solutions that bolster our national security and propel Ireland to the forefront of global cyber entrepreneurship,” stated Dr. Donna O’Shea, Chair of Cybersecurity at MTU.
According to recent research by Cyber Ireland and Cyber Skills, Ireland has the potential to become a worldwide leader in cybersecurity and increase its workforce to over 17,000 people by 2030.
