Dealership in Maumee has two Tesla Cybertrucks on lot

The new Tesla Cybertruck is already considered one of the most popular electric trucks on the market.

MAUMEE, Ohio — The trend of electric vehicles is continuing to pick up momentum, according to a Maumee car dealership.

The new Tesla Cybertruck is already considered one of the most popular electric trucks on the market and people in northwest Ohio now have a good opportunity to get behind the wheel of the hard to come-by truck.

PricePro in Maumee is one of two dealerships in the state that has the uniquely designed Tesla truck available to buy as of May 19. In fact, they have two, including the Cybertruck Cyberbeast model.

The Cybertruck has a range of 340 to 370 miles.

They’re really futuristic looking and charging a vehicle takes longer than just putting gas in the tank.

“Teslas always have a sleek model, but the Cybertrucks definitely are crazy. Regular Teslas have a similar paint to regular cars, but this one is stainless steel,” said D.J. Hicks, a sales rep at PricePro.

Tesla Cybertruck goes from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds, according to Hicks.

“I know it could be a little bit confusing and a little bit of a leap to go from gas to electric, but they are helping the economy in positive ways, and I think it’ll be a positive step to keep moving in that direction. And specifically in the auto industry,” said Hicks.

Hicks says they strive to provide the best prices for all cars including electric vehicles and explains what makes these Tesla trucks unique.

“It tows a little bit more than regular trucks, heavier. And not a lot of people would expect that from a battery-powered vehicle versus a gas or a diesel vehicle,” said Hicks.

Hicks says PricePro has about 45 to 50 electric vehicles in their lot right now.

“There’s actually a $4,000 tax credit on electric vehicles and hybrids going on, if you qualify, for vehicles under $25,000. So it’s a great way to come get a nice vehicle, especially if you want a good electric vehicle for a pretty good price,” said Hicks.

One thing to note when shopping for an electric vehicle, it does cost more in repairs on average around 17 hundred for electric versus 16 hundred for gas and, for now at least, it’s harder to someone who works on electric vehicles.

If you are interested, PricePro has two Cybertrucks on the lot, but be prepared to open your wallet. The Cybertruck has a pricetag of about $133,000 and the Cyberbeast has a price of about $170,000.
