Destination Dallas: Kahle’s Kitchens Donates $13K to NC Robotics Teams to Help Cover Costs of Participation in World Competition


FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (EYT) – Kahle’s Kitchens of Leeper donated $13,000.00 on Monday, April 22, to the North Clarion School District Robotics teams to help cover the cost of travel, lodging, meals, and registration fees in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas.

The teams are headed to Dallas, Texas, for the VEX Robotics World Championship. The competition, presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation and the REC Foundation, will be held from April 25 through May 3, 2024, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The annual event will bring together the top VEX IQ Robotics Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, and VEX U teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and participate in the 2023-2024 games to be crowned champions.

The Ineffable Inventors team–comprised of Julian Bellotti, Gabriel Fair, Luke Dinger, Tyler Swaim, Abby Hastings, and Dean Sliker–were Tournament Champions and earned the Amaze Award, which recognizes a consistently high-performing and competitive robot.

The Ambiguous Case team–composed of Aiden Thomas, Patrick Young, Kevin Young, Emalie Best, and Allison Ochs–finished in 2nd place in the Skills Challenge and earned the Excellence Award, which recognizes overall excellence in judging criteria and robot performance.

North Clarion High School Robotics Teams Recognized by GT Thompson

On Wednesday, April 10, on C-Span, United States Congressman GT Thompson shared his pride in the accomplishments of the robotics teams from North Clarion High School with Congress and the nation.

“I rise today to recognize two North Clarion High School robotics teams that competed in the Western Pennsylvania Robotics championships in March at PennWest University—Clarion. Two teams, Ineffable Inventors and Ambiguous Case, finished in first and second place, respectively,” Thompson said.

“Ineffable Inventors earned the most consistently high-performing and competitive robot award.

“Ambiguous Case finished in second place and received the excellence award, which is given for overall excellence in robotic performance.”

“Both of these teams will be advancing to the World Championships, which will be held at the end of April in Dallas, Texas.

“Mr. Speaker, I enjoy seeing our youth engage in these competitions to develop important computer and science skills that will help them in their future endeavors. Best of luck to both teams as they advance to the world championships.”
