Embe hosting robotics and STEM summer camps
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Kids in the Sioux Falls area were able to spend time at some unique camps to start off their summer break.
Embe kicked off its robotics and STEM summer camps on Friday.
One camp included the First LEGO League, where kids grades 1 through 8 are able to learn how to build robots and teamwork.
“They’re learning a lot of skills,” said First LEGO League coordinator Gerald Messersmith. “First off, we are giving them a hands-on opportunity to work with robotic-type programming. So it’s just programming that ties right into science, technology, engineering and mathematics, so they’re learning some programming skills.”
10 kids are participating right now in the first session. Registration and more information on Embe camps can be found here.
