FanDuel promotes from within for vice-president of product

Core first joined the operator in October 2018 as senior sportsbook product manager, staying in the position for a little over a year.

In January 2020, he became director of product management before being promoted to senior director of product in September 2022.

A further promotion two years later saw him become senior director of product and operations before moving to his latest role.

Prior to joining FanDuel, Core spent more than two years with Befair as senior digital product manager.

His introduction to the igaming industry began in April 2009 as COO of online bookmaker SeanieMac International, a post he held for more than eight years.

On his promotion, Core thanked his colleagues for their support as he looked forward to contributing to the operator’s future growth.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Core wrote: “Excited to share that I am starting a new role as vice-president of product at FanDuel.

“Looking forward to playing a meaningful role in FanDuel’s next phase of growth and thankful for the continued trust and support of my colleagues.”

Core’s promotion to VP of product is the firm’s second this month, after revealing Andrew Gradwell had been handed the title of senior vice-president of product.

Last week, FanDuel launched in Washington DC, supplanting the much-derided Gambet app from Greek supplier Intralot.

The Flutter Entertainment subsidiary was last month named the most valuable US gambling brand in the independent Brand Finance 500 report.
