Over the last few years, numerous rest areas along the New York State Thruway have undergone major renovations and upgrades to give drivers along the 426-mile mainline road that connects New York City and Buffalo more options to eat, fuel up, and rest. They have recently added six new universal fast electric vehicle charging stations at the Plattekill Service Area on the northbound side of the NYS thruway between exits 17 and 18 according to the NYS Thruway Authority.
