Flexxon launches X-PHY Server Defender for hardware cybersecurity
Flexxon, a global industry provider of hardware cybersecurity, has announced the launch of X-PHY Server Defender, the world’s first standalone, fully independent hardware cybersecurity module, at the RSA Conference 2024 in San Francisco. Offering full-stack monitoring and defence from the hardware and firmware layers, the Server Defender also introduces system reversion capability, enabling full system recovery following a breach. The release presents a breakthrough in the cybersecurity ecosystem, and an early access program is now open for qualified customers.
Built on Flexxon’s unique patented algorithms, the X-PHY Server Defender offers independent security for real-time monitoring and zero-day threat response. It also provides instant data restoration, even in the unlikely event of a breach. “Server Defender is built upon truly revolutionary technology that will change the cyberwar landscape in our favour,” said Camellia Chan, CEO and Co-Founder of Flexxon.
The Server Defender, by monitoring in real-time and offering instant data recovery capabilities, could reduce downtime by at least 50%. “Cyberattacks can bring operations to a grinding halt, costing businesses millions in downtime and recovery efforts,” Chan said. This comprehensive platform, in providing lightning-fast data recovery and granular recovery points, ensures negligible data loss and fulfills the end users’ and service providers’ needs. Chan further added, “With Server Defender, our customers can drive their core operations forward, secure in the knowledge that their data and services are safeguarded against sophisticated cyber threats”.
Escalating breaches and ransomware attacks over the past year have demonstrated significant vulnerabilities in our current cybersecurity standards, exacerbating the need for urgent action. With each successful attack, cybercriminals become bolder and their actions more grievous, spanning financial losses and reputational damage, prolonged periods of downtime and service interruptions, and a significant impact on end-users.
To pre-emptively address these issues, the Server Defender utilises Flexxon’s multi-patented Matrix Shield technology, which facilitates constant monitoring of attack vectors targeting system protocols, memory subsystem, kernel, OS level, and network layers. Matrix Shield transforms all objects and files into fundamental numeric representations, offering real-time threat detection and seamless, live reversion. By using a system of matrices, neural networks, and a validation system, it ensures properly monitored and stored data. Consequently, armed with the Matrix Shield, the X-PHY Server Defender provides centralised security monitoring across numerous servers and data centres.
The phased rollout of Server Defender focuses on full architecture attack surface reduction in its initial phase, identifying and eliminating weak spots to lay a strong foundation for threat detection and sophisticated attack response. With each release, the program will introduce more features that will strengthen security, remediate software vulnerabilities, and neutralise various emerging cyber threats, moving towards truly holistic server security.
Since the debut of the X-PHY SSD in 2021, Flexxon has continued to develop its suite of dynamic, hardware-based, cybersecurity solutions. Flexxon aims to deliver effective and simple to implement security solutions to safeguard users’ digital assets worldwide, restoring their peace of mind and freedom.
