FMCC: Harnessing power of generative AI with purposeful instructions
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has great potential to drive sustainable business success if applied correctly, according to a technology solutions provider.
Speaking at a breakfast talk hosted by the French Macau Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Jackie Fong, regional manager of System in Motion’s South Chain business, shared with attendees useful tips on how to effectively apply AI in day-to-day work.
A purposeful instruction will go a long way, she stressed, highlighting its key components, including role, context, command and format.
“Appropriate context and instructional guidance are more likely to help achieve the intended outcome,” Fong said.
The role defines the perspective or identity that the AI model should adopt when generating responses.
A more specific context provides relevant background information or constraints, while the command component provides explicit instructions or requests to guide behaviour.
A format helps define the structure or style in which the response should be generated, she pointed out.
