Formnext 2024, a leading event in additive manufacturing, is actively seeking speakers for its upcoming multi-stage presentation program. The event will cover a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and advances in medical and dental technologies.

Following the successful debut of its multi-stage programme last year, Formnext 2024 will again feature extensive presentations. This means that even more current and future applications, technologies and overarching trends in the AM and manufacturing industries will be discussed. Key topics for the Application, Industry and Technology Stages will include artificial intelligence in additive manufacturing, medical and dental technology, robotics and automation. Formnext 2024 is now officially calling for speakers!

Formnext’s multi-level presentation programme is open to everyone and is designed to encourage everyone to share their knowledge of technologies and applications in the industrial manufacturing sector. After all, learning more about the latest technological developments, expanding technical expertise, trading experiences and making contacts are the main goals of most Formnext attendees. Alongside exhibitor presentations and networking events, the technical presentations on stage are always one of the most interesting activities on offer. “This is one of the reasons why the concept has proved so successful,” explains Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President for Formnext at the event’s organiser, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “We are now looking to expand and sharpen the focus of our theme programme so that AM can become established in many more application areas.”

For attendees, the opportunity to attend presentations and panel discussions with leading industry experts on a variety of stages will provide both compelling insights and an excellent overview of the key issues in AM. These include exciting applications from industries as diverse as medical, aerospace and construction. Formnext will also feature demonstrations of the latest technologies and discussions on fundamental issues such as sustainability, funding and the skills shortage.

In conveniently timed sessions, the Application Stage will showcase exciting and forward-looking examples of how AM is being used in specific industries. Mechanical and plant engineering, automotive or aerospace, electronics, packaging, tool and mould making, automation and robotics are just some of the leading topics on the agenda. Medical and dental applications will also be a focus this year.

Meanwhile, on the Industry Stage, industry experts and insiders will share their thoughts on the issues shaping AM today, such as sustainability and the industrialisation of AM. These and other focus topics will be introduced in keynotes, explored in Expert Insights sessions, and further discussed in panels. The Industry Stage will also cover areas such as AI and the industrial metaverse, DfAM (Design for AM), business opportunities, start-ups and funding, as well as hot topics such as data management and security, emerging technologies, skills shortages and supply chain resilience.

Finally, leading Formnext exhibitors will showcase their innovations and solutions on the Technology Stage. Each day of the event will feature the latest breakthroughs in software and digitalisation, materials, AM systems, auxiliary process systems, quality management, metrology and services.

The Call for Speakers is now open. Proposals for papers can be submitted via the Call for Speakers form no later than 30 June 2024.
