Finding free resources, often funded by state or county initiatives or sponsor companies, isn’t always easy. This month, Technical.ly is highlighting five no-cost workshops in Delaware for people looking for entrepreneur resources, job advancement or a whole new career.

Here are our picks, in chronological order:
Four sessions from June 5 to 26, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at YWCA Homelife Management Center Learning Lab in Wilmington.
The YWCA will host a series of four workshops for people looking for a job or career advancement. It includes resume and interview preparation, networking and negotiation strategies.
June 12, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Zoom facilitated by Delaware SBDC
NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program Manager Dr. Quenton Bond will discuss opportunities for innovation technology entrepreneurs looking to conduct research and development related to NASA technologies.
June 13, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Public Library
The Small Business Development Center and Fulton Bank team up to talk about starting and maintaining a small business and answer questions. The event is followed by complementary lunch and networking with other Delaware entrepreneurs.
July 18, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at University of Delaware Professional and Continuing Studies in Newark
If you’re looking to make a career change or reup skills for career advancement, this info session could help. It will introduce participants to instructors, information and financial aid options for programs including UD’s new cybersecurity and Python programs.
June 20, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, Emerging Enterprise Center in Wilmington
Prepare for the bank lending process with this 3-hour workshop led by the University of Delaware Small Business Development Center’s Margo Reign. It explains business loan requirements, how to present your business and what to expect once you’ve gotten approval.
