French Economy Ministry: Satellite AI/data-analytics provider Preligens cannot be sold to non-EU investment fund

JAKARTA — French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire confirmed that the French government has barred Preligens, which specializes in using AI to analyze satellite imagery, notably for the French military, from being sold to a foreign investment fund.

Founded in 2016 with investment by 360 Capital, Ace Capital Partners and bpifrance, Preligence has grown quickly and its management has said it should reach profitability this year.
