Galaxy Semiconductor Launches Hyperdrive Predictive Quality System
Simple, Scalable, and Industry-proven Data Analytics Platform enables Semiconductor Fabs and Material Manufacturers to accelerate the transition from Reactive to Predictive operations.
SANTA CLARA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / April 12, 2024 / Galaxy Semiconductor is excited to announce the general availability of its new Hyperdrive Predictive Quality System for semiconductor fabs and materials suppliers. After two years of intensive research and development in collaboration with industry partners, Hyperdrive has successfully delivered on the promise of predictive maintenance. It has demonstrated the power to predict equipment issues in semiconductor fabrication days in advance. Hyperdrive’s flexible API enables powerful machine-learning algorithms for optimization of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Virtual Metrology.
The challenging processes in semiconductor fabrication require extremely tight process control to deliver high-quality products. Galaxy’s Hyperdrive Predictive Quality System is specifically designed to collect, validate, align, and analyze the huge volume of Fault Detection & Classification (FDC) type data generated by process monitoring sensors. It then transforms that data into actionable insights that lead to improved yield, increased throughput, and reduced downtime. Data can be loaded from files, via query of an existing FDC data system, or by direct connection to a sensor gateway. Galaxy brings over 20 years of experience in data management to the time-consuming and costly task of data wrangling and cleanup, allowing customers to focus on the more valuable analysis and decision-making.
Wes Smith, CEO and co-founder of Galaxy expressed, “We’re very proud of this milestone for our team and for what it means for our customers. Hyperdrive was designed from the ground up using the latest in secure, scalable technologies so that our customers can keep their equipment running smoothly. Being able to predict product quality, for example, in thin-film deposition, has the potential to yield dramatic improvements in cost and throughput for our customers.”
