Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship launches Revenue Accelerator

Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship is partnering with GrowthX to accelerate revenue growth for regional startups and provide Golisano Institute students with real-world engagements for learning go-to-market skills and job networking with rising companies.

Leveraging its Revenue Accelerator program, GrowthX will work with select Western New York-based startups within the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship campus center.

GrowthX – a 16-week entrepreneurial sales program – has assisted nearly 250 business-to-business startups across 60 cities to deliver real revenue results.

The Revenue Accelerator’s first cohort launches on July 8 and will be equity-free and cost-free for selected founders.

Participating companies will also have full access to Golisano’s campus center, including the soon-to-be-launched Innovation Hub, which integrates business and AI.

“GrowthX invests time and energy in rising cities,” said Ian Mortimer, Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship’s president. “Rochester surely has all the ingredients to escalate economically, and this partnership will allow our students to be active participants and network into good professional opportunities. We teach business skills, and we continuously practice those skills. This partnership is a great fit and should lead to great opportunities for our students.”

Added Tom Golisano, the school’s founder: “The investment climate has changed significantly since the pandemic; the free-flow of capital to early-stage companies has, for the most part, been replaced by a more evidence-based need for revenue and sales to make a firm investable. The Revenue Accelerator at the Golisano Institute will be unique nationally and should grow the venture capital input in Western New York.”

Applications are being accepted now through July 1. Interested founders of qualified startups are encouraged to visit the program website to learn more about the program, sign up to attend a virtual Q&A session on June 4 and submit their application at growthx.com/founders/golisano-institute/
