Google Cloud, Workday expands partnership to support software development with gen AI
Alphabet’s Google Cloud (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY) on Monday announced an expanded partnership, helping the enterprise management cloud software firm bring new generative AI capabilities to its platform.
Workday will use Gemini Models and Vertex AI to support software development, Google said, adding that these tools “will provide developers with AI-powered code generation, troubleshooting, and information retrieval to increase the quality and speed of deploying apps on top of the Workday platform.”
Last year, Workday unveiled the Workday AI Marketplace, noting that it will help its customers find and deploy certified artificial intelligence, or AI, and machine learning, or ML, partner solutions to boost their businesses.
The company has also announced generative AI capabilities to address common business challenges such as generating job descriptions, knowledge base articles, employee growth plans, and statements of work, and contract analysis and corrections.
Shares of Workday down over 1% in morning trade on Monday.
