If you’re particular about touching up your photos – in a month it will be much easier and for free: Google announced yesterday (Wednesday) that it will make some of its photo editing tools powered by artificial intelligence free for all Google Photos users.

The company said in a statement that starting May 15 and in the following weeks, it will expand access to AI-powered editing features that were previously only available to its Pixel phones through Google’s Onbe cloud storage subscription service. In the future, it will be possible to use the AI tools to edit photos from computers and tablets as well.

Google Photos AI features include the eraser that removes unwanted objects from photos, a tool for sharpening out-of-focus photos, and “Portrait Light” that can rebalance the lighting in a photo. As part of the launch next month, Google is also expanding access to its Magic Editor application – an application that allows more advanced manipulations on your photos, also here using artificial intelligence.

Users will be able to save up to 10 photos per month edited using its artificial intelligence. Premium Google One subscribers and Pixel device users will be able to save the edited photos indefinitely.
