Hankook Competition to participate in Nürburgring 24 Hours
Hankook & Company Co., Hankook & Company Group’s business holding company, announced on Wednesday that its sponsored motorsport team Hankook Competition will participate in the endurance race event Nürburgring 24 Hours held in Germany from May 30 to June 2.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours Race punishes cars over a grueling 25 km circuit, challenging them to drive as far as mechanically possible for 24 hours. This unforgiving track set deep in the forests of Germany is known as “The Green Hell.”
Held since 1970, the over 25.3 km lap length allows more than 200 cars and over 700 drivers to participate.
Hankook Competition will compete in a Porsche 992 SPX equipped with Hankook Tire & Technology’s Ventus racing tires.
This event will feature 130 high-performance supercars, including Ferrari 296 GT3, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2, and Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo2. The spectator count is expected to approach 200,000.
