Hometown hero, Justin Conrad, Columbiana, Ohio takes robotics team to world championships
COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – In just two years, Justin Conrad has turned the Columbiana Middle School’s robotics program into state champs and this week, he’s WYTV’s Hometown Hero.
With all of his volunteering, you’d think Justin was on the school staff, but he’s not. However, he’s gotten the robotics team to the world championships.
“He is always sacrificing his time to help other students in the community improve themselves,” said teacher Ashlee Sherwood.
The team will be traveling to Dallas, Texas later this month to compete in the world championships. They’ll compete against teams from all over Europe, Australia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
If you would like to donate to the robotics team trip to Texas, contact Ashlee Sherwood at Ashlee.Sherwood@ColumbianaSchools.org for more information.
