Hozon set to unveil the Neta L at Auto China 2024 in Beijing

Chinese electric car manufacturer Hozon Auto is gearing up to unveil its latest offering, the Neta L, at the upcoming Auto China 2024 event in Beijing. Joining the brand’s lineup of electric vehicles, the Neta L aims to make a splash in the competitive electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment with its practical features and modern design.

Boasting a sleek exterior design, the Neta L measures 4.77 meters in length, 1.9 meters in width, and 1.66 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.81 meters. Targeting young families, its interior includes a television, refrigerator, and sofa—a unique combination the automaker says is not commonly found in its class.

The Neta L will be available in two versions: pure electric and extended-range (EREV).

At the beginning of this year, Caixin Global reported that the Neta L will utilize Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL)’s Shenxing battery technology, which CATL dubbed at the time of announcement as “the world’s first 4C super fast-charging LFP battery.” Hozon confirmed this in a separate announcement in March, adding that Shenxing will be utilized for the pure electric version, while leveraging the capabilities of Hozi Technology for the EREV version. The automaker claims that the EREV variant will offer a combined range of up to 1,070 kilometers.

Adding to the new model’s appeal is Neta GPT, a new artificial intelligence technology that the company says will offer users a “smarter Neta assistant” and “redefine the experience of intelligent cockpits.

The Neta L was first announced in January. Zhang Yong, co-founder and CEO of Hozon, previously shared on his personal WeChat account that deliveries for the Neta L will commence in April this year. The company’s latest announcement added that deliveries will commence across a total of 20 countries during the second half of this year.
