IIM Kozhikode, Emeritus Offer Executive Program in Product Management With Gen AI Training Modules

In response to the growing demand for skilled product managers, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has partnered with Emeritus to launch a groundbreaking Professional Certificate Programme in Product Management. Renowned for its 3rd rank in the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2023 rankings, IIMK has designed this program to cater to the needs of aspiring and current product managers.
The 39-week programme is aimed at entry-level managers and entrepreneurs seeking in-depth knowledge of new product development, product strategies, and product analytics. Mid-level managers looking to innovate and create compelling products and senior-level managers aiming to refine prototypes and improve customer fit will also benefit. Notably, the programme includes sessions on Generative AI, offering industry-backed, hands-on training with Gen AI tools.
IIM Kozhikode Director, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, highlighted the program’s relevance, stating, “The demand for product managers has surged in recent years, prompting professionals at various levels to transition into this role. Our Product Management programme addresses the industry’s need for exceptional product managers by covering key aspects such as Product Strategy, Product Analytics, and Product Development.”

According to the Product School Future of Product Management report 2023, over 45% of companies with product managers do not provide specific training, and 94% of employees would stay longer if their company invested in their development. Jobted, a US-based job aggregator, reports that product management is in high demand in India, with over 20,000 jobs listed on LinkedIn in mid-2022. This highlights the need for advanced training in product management.
The Professional Certificate Programme in Product Management includes pre-recorded sessions by top IIMK faculty and industry experts, real-world case studies, modules on Generative AI, a Capstone project, assignments, quizzes, and over 20 office hours with industry experts. Participants will learn to develop a product mindset, map customer journeys, analyse strategies, and create competitive products.
Eligibility requirements include graduates and diploma holders from recognized universities. The program begins on June 26, 2024, with a fee of INR 1,95,000 plus GST. Participants who complete the programme with a minimum grade of 70% will receive a certificate from IIM Kozhikode.
