The Ukrainian developers have shown a multifunctional robotic platform that is able to perform logistical tasks, conduct remote mining and act as a kamikaze.
The corresponding video was released by the developers on their YouTube channel.
The development of the robotic platform is carried out by the engineers of Mangust company, which is engaged in the development and manufacture of buggies for various purposes.
The four-wheel platform, called Mangust, has high permeability due to its suspension design.
Two TM-62 anti-tank mines can be installed in front and behind the platform, which are fixed with special locks.
In addition, a special container for transporting ammunition, provisions or other payload can be installed on the platform.
Mangust has parameters 1000x1050x900 mm and weighs 135 kilograms. The maximum speed is 10 kilometers per hour, and the cruising speed is 7.
The 4.25 meter antenna provides video transmission up to 500 meters, while the control distance is 2 kilometers.
The duration of the platform is 6 hours.
Robotic platforms of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
On May 11, Militarnyi reported that the Ministry of Defense had allowed 9 Ukrainian ground robotic systems to operate in the army since the beginning of the year.
It is noted that the systems perform a variety of tasks on the battlefield, reducing the risk for the Ukrainian soldiers.
Unmanned platforms are designed to perform various tasks on the battlefield. Some of them are carriers of the weapon systems, in particular, machine guns of different calibers. They allow Ukrainian soldiers from hiding to remotely fire at the enemy.
Among the unmanned ground systems codified this year there are also platforms that are designed to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, perform logistics tasks, as well as mining and demining.
