Infosys leads global digital transformation

With a global consulting practice in over 56 countries, Infosys Ltd. is in a prime position to chart the key drivers of digital transformation.

After a wave of interest in artificial intelligence for consumer applications, broader use of AI is starting to migrate to new corners of the enterprise world as well.

“Over the last year we are seeing a lot of interest on the enterprise AI side,” said Sunil Senan (pictured), global head of data, analytics and AI at Infosys. “You’ll see a lot of these AI models entering the market. You’ll see a number of different innovations entering the market, but you really have to make sense of what this means for you as an enterprise. This is a completely different ballgame, and that’s why we are seeing our customers now take the step forward in understanding how data ready they are for AI.”

Senan spoke with theCUBE Research’s Rob Strechay and Rebecca Knight at Alteryx Inspire, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the broader impact of AI on multiple industries and how Infosys and Alteryx are working together to meet customer data analytics needs. (* Disclosure below.)

Infosys sees expanding AI interest across industries

Being data-ready for AI involves a closer look at information stored across the organizational landscape, an exercise that is impacting vertical markets, according to Senan.

“There is no industry that has not been touched by AI and generative AI and the possibilities that it drives,” he said. “Take the healthcare industry as an example. Now with AI and generative AI they can power the digital core and transform that into a cognitive core that understands the patients’ journeys better. Our customers are taking a bigger purpose and objectives with consumers and society at large to see how to drive this transformation.”

A partnership between Infosys and Alteryx Inc. has expanded over the years to combine Infosys’ data and analytics offerings with Alteryx’s specialization in self-service analysis and user interfaces.

“Our work with Alteryx is to be able to use that foundation of process mining and understanding how business processes are being run, how to infuse data and AI into that,” Senan said. “Brand profitability is a great example of where we leverage Alteryx’s innovation to be able to build the brand profitably as a solution on top. Our partnership with Alteryx is helping us curate these industry solutions together and also engage in a collaborative way where we can bring these innovations to our common customers.”
