Leverage Generative Artificial Intelligence to Empower Your Business: Advice from an AWS AI Expert

Nashlie Sephus, an Artificial Intelligence expert at Amazon Web Services, has embarked on an exciting adventure: showing small entrepreneurs and startuppers how they can easily leverage generative AI tools to grow their business. Starting with a passion for jazz music that led her to explore machine learning, Nashlie has traveled an extraordinary journey, earning a Ph.D., becoming chief technology officer of an image-recognition startup purchased by Amazon, and eventually joining the AWS team working on responsible AI.

Today, in her role as AWS “tech evangelist,” Nashlie is committed to spreading knowledge about AI, teaching companies how to use it effectively and responsibly. Her latest project has her starring in a new online video series, in which she meets with small entrepreneurs and startuppers to show them how they can quickly and easily leverage Amazon PartyRock, a free generative AI tool, to address some of their key challenges.

Creating an Investor Presentation with PartyRock.

Nashlie met with Nilajah, owner of Wadada Healthy Market and Juice Bar in Atlanta, who is looking to expand by opening a new location and needs funding to do so. The AI expert showed her how to use PartyRock to launch a successful crowdfunding campaign. Using the virtual assistant, Nilajah was able to get detailed suggestions on how to set up the campaign, ideas for text to use in the various sections, and suggestions for prizes to offer to supporters.

In addition, Nashlie taught Nilajah how to create a presentation for investors, including a competitive analysis of other juice bars in the area and financial projections for the next 3-5 years. All this was done quickly and easily with the help of PartyRock.

Writing Personalized Marketing Emails with PartyRock

Tim, the general manager of StretchLab in Snellville, often finds himself having to write emails and text messages in different styles to reach a wide range of customers, from older people to millennials. Nashlie showed him how to use PartyRock to create an app that automatically rewrites texts, generating content in various styles in seconds.

According to Tim, with the help of generative AI he is able to produce about 20 emails in 30 minutes, compared to the hour it would normally take him. This tool saves him valuable time and allows him to reach his different target customers more effectively.

Creating Blog Content with PartyRock to Improve Online Visibility

Shaniqua, owner of Pearl Salon Suites in Atlanta, needs to reach three main target groups: beauty professionals interested in renting space, customers looking for beauty services, and potential franchisees for new locations. One of her main issues is online visibility.

Nashlie showed her how to use PartyRock to create a blogging app that can generate content on different topics of interest to her target groups. With this functionality, Shaniqua can now quickly produce relevant content that is related to her business offerings and optimized for search engines, thereby improving her website’s visibility.

Key Tips for Leveraging PartyRock

Nashlie shares three key tips for taking full advantage of generative AI tools like PartyRock:

Start with your problems

You don’t have to be a genius or have a PhD to use AI. Anyone can do it. Start by identifying your main problems and work backwards from there. You may be surprised where it can take you.

Think about your prompts

The quality of generative AI output depends very much on the quality of the input. Be as precise and specific as possible when asking questions or giving instructions to the AI, and be prepared to experiment and play around until you get the desired result.

Always keep a human being in the loop

AI has many amazing uses that can help you in your work and daily life, but it is not perfect and can sometimes make mistakes. Always remember your goals and make sure you have a person checking the accuracy of the information provided by the AI.
