Luxury Cars: Luxury Cars Burnt in Automobiles Garage Fire in Lucknow | Lucknow News


Lucknow: A number of luxury cars were burnt to ashes after a massive fire broke out at an automobiles garage on Chinhat Deva road area of Lucknow on Tuesday morning. The fire in the garage was accompanied by multiple blasts engulfing the area in black smoke. A video of the incident went viral.According to the fire officials, there were over 20 cars parked there for repairs, out of which around 10 were burnt to ashes and others were damaged too. “The exact number of vehicles damaged in the fire has yet to be ascertained,” said chief fire officer Mangesh Kumar, adding several cars and spares in the garage were burnt. “Prima facie, the fire was sparked off by electrical short circuit,” said the CFO, adding that the blast was caused by a cylinder, besides presence of petrol and diesel in the garage. “We received information of the fire around 8am and rushed to the spot with fire tenders from Gomtinagar, Hazratganj and Indiranagar fire stations,” said Kumar, adding that no one was hurt in the incident and fire was brought under control after hours of effort. The garage belongs to Shiraz, resident of Barabanki. The garage was shut for two days on the occasion of Eid ul Azha festival and employees were on leave. The fire had broken out where the scrap was kept at the back of the garage and it spread out, engulfing the entire garage.
