Marinakis announces launch of new Entrepreneurship Fund – Greek Portal

The new Entrepreneurship Fund III will offer loans amounting to 2.2 billion euros to small and medium sized enterprises with rather favourable terms, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Thursday during a press briefing.

It is the first time that the combination of the loan guarantee with the interest rate subsidy is provided.

The reduction in the cost of financing small and medium sized enterprises can reach up to 70% in the case of the Loan Fund, while through the Guarantee Fund, not only the final interest rate but also collateral requirements are significantly reduced, without any additional costs. The launch of the new Entrepreneurship Fund is yet another practical proof of the strategic importance the government attaches to supporting entrepreneurship, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal is to cover the investment gap created by the economic crisis, improve competitiveness and create new and better-paid jobs for all our fellow citizens.

Referring to the postal voting, he said that over 110,000 postal votes have been received so far and the process continues smoothly. The deadline for sending the ballot by courier for residents of the territory is Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4 if they choose to deliver the envelope to a store of the courier companies.

Marinakis also said that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is visiting on Thursday the cities of Egio, Patra and Pyrgos. On Saturday, June 1, Mitsotakis will visit Heraklion, Rethymno and Chania on Crete, while on Sunday 2 June will give a interchannel press conference from Chania at 11:00.
