Competing against a staggering 820 teams from across the world, the students demonstrated remarkable teamwork, creativity, and technical prowess throughout the intense competition.

One standout team, 7882B, caught the attention of judges with their outstanding performance and innovative approach. Their dedication and hard work paid off when they were awarded the prestigious Energy Award for their division. This accolade is a testament to their commitment to sustainable and efficient robotics design.

Winning the Energy Award is a significant achievement, as it recognizes not only technical excellence but also a deep understanding of environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. Team 7882B’s success highlights Mahoning County’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding performance at the VEX Worlds Competition last week,” Mahoning County Career and Technical Center Superintendent John Zehentbauer said. “Their dedication, teamwork, and innovative spirit have truly set them apart on the world stage. Winning the Energy Award is a testament to their hard work and the exceptional mentorship they’ve received from their instructors.”
