MCCTC and Valley STEM Robotics teams shine at VEX Worlds Competition in Dallas | News, Sports, Jobs
CANFIELD – Two robotics teams, composed of 13 students from Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Valley STEM + ME2 Academy, showcased their ingenuity and skill on the global stage at the recent VEX Worlds Competition held in Dallas, Texas.
Competing against 820 teams from across the world, the students demonstrated teamwork, creativity and technical prowess throughout the competition.
One standout team, 7882B, caught the attention of judges with its outstanding performance and innovative approach. The team’s dedication and hard work paid off when it was awarded the Energy Award for its division. This accolade is a testament to the team’s commitment to sustainable and efficient robotics design.
Winning the Energy Award is a significant achievement, as it recognizes not only technical excellence but also a deep understanding of environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. Team 7882B’s success highlights Mahoning County’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability.
