Meet Bujji, Prabhas’ futuristic robot automobile and friend in need
The makers of the much-awaited Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD released a special teaser of their film at a grand ceremony on Wednesday. The teaser introduced the character of Bujji, the futuristic automobile robot owned by Prabhas’ character Bhairava in the film.
The teaser establishes the unique equation between Bhairava and Bujji, full of wit, warmth and loyalty. Reportedly, Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to provide the voiceover for Bujji’s character.
On the occasion, Director Nag Ashwin introduced the team behind the building of Bujji. Later, he explained the process in detail: “The name Bujji sounds small, but it’s very special for us. I didn’t do engineering. I tweeted to Anand Mahindra for help, who activated his team. They passed us on to Jayam Motors in Coimbatore, a very experimental racing car-building company. It requires huge research to build a car with such features. We customized and built it step by step, all for Kalki and Bhairava.”
Featuring an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in key roles, Kalki 2898 AD is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. A mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future, the film hits the screens on June 27, 2024.
