Meta introduces new generative AI tools for advertisers on Facebook, Instagram
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has launched a set of advanced generative AI features designed to help advertisers create more engaging and effective ad campaigns. The new tools, including comprehensive image and text generation capabilities, aim to assist businesses at every stage of their advertising journey, from crafting compelling ad variations to streamlining ad creation.
New generative AI image generation toolThe image generation tool allows businesses to create diverse variations of their ad images, complete with customizable backgrounds and text overlays. Advertisers can showcase their products in various settings, tailoring the visuals to suit platforms like Instagram and Facebook. For instance, a coffee brand can display its product in contexts ranging from serene farms to vibrant cafes while also adjusting image elements to optimise for different ad placements.
Generative AI tool for text generationAlongside image generation, Meta has introduced a text generation feature that provides variations for ad headlines and primary text. By analysing previous campaign data and user input, the tool aims to offer text suggestions that align with advertisers’ preferences and reflect their unique brand voices and tones. This feature empowers advertisers to create diverse, brand-specific content that resonates with their target audiences.
The image generation feature is currently rolling out, with plans to include text prompts for enhanced customization, while the text generation features are being gradually introduced and are expected to be available globally by the end of the year.
The generative AI features will be centralised under the Advantage+ Creative platform in Ads Manager, enabling businesses to leverage automation and AI simultaneously for faster ad creation and improved performance. Meta has also refreshed several Advantage+ products to enhance advertisers’ capabilities further.
Meta Verified expands to more advertisers
In addition to these AI tools, Meta has expanded its Meta Verified subscription toolkit test for businesses on Facebook and Instagram to additional countries, with plans to include WhatsApp in the future. The toolkit offers tailored subscription plans that provide benefits such as a verified badge, account support, and impersonation monitoring, helping businesses build credibility and grow their brand.
